// 01 — What we do

Three disciplines. One playbook.

Everything we do sits on the same foundation: data, local networks, and a clear view of how African and European football actually move around each other.

01

Scouting & Recruitment

Tailored talent identification across Africa and Europe. We build scouting operations for clubs that need a credible pipeline, not a list of names.

02

Partnerships

From cold outreach to signed MoU. We design football partnerships between European clubs and African academies that actually produce players.

// 05 — Data

The stack behind the work.

Kontra isn't a spreadsheet operation. Every opinion we publish has a data spine behind it.

Player tracking

8,000+ African players continuously profiled — biodata, minutes, output, context.

League coverage

PSL, JPL, Eliteserien, Ligue 2, Challenger Pro and select African first divisions.

Squad audits

Age curves, minute allocation, cost-per-point, squad-build efficiency models.

Trade flows

Transfer ledgers tracking where African talent moves, who profits, and the margin shape.

Style fingerprints

Possession models, pressing intensity, defensive heights — style-fit matching for recruitment.

Partnership ROI

Quantifying which European–African partnerships actually produce players at the required level.

In football, the difference between success and mediocrity is usually in the details. Kontra exists to find them, quantify them, and put them on the table.

Built by someone who's been there.

Kontra is founded and run by Brian Kavuma — a football professional with 8+ years across football, cricket, rugby and cycling, born and raised in South Africa, now based in Brussels.

The work sits on two hard-earned assets: a dense network across African and European football, and a conviction that the continent's next decade will be won by whoever combines local context with rigorous data.

Working with clubs and federations in South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Belgium and Norway.
